The Cause

Saluting With Smoke offers a unique and patriotic barbeque experience as a series of BBQ cooking competitions.

Cooks compete in a four category KCBS Competitor Series Event including: Chicken, Ribs, Anything Goes, and the MRE Challenge.

Teams competing are required to have a Veteran on their team. If you don't have a Veteran, or would like to host another Veteran, Mission Zero Hundred Hours will provide Veterans to join teams.

Mission Zero Hundred Hours is a 501c3 organization supports at-risk vets with culinary arts programs, job placement, competition BBQ cooking team excursions, and culinary business related services and support.

Zero Hundred Hours is the start of a new day for vets in need of support.

Our initial program "BBQ Saves Lives" pairs vets with professional BBQ teams across the country for an all expense paid BBQ Excursions which re-introduces vets to mission, value, team, family, and community.

"What counts is not necessarily the size of the dog in the fight -- it's the size of the fight in the dog.
